Protein power diet to improve health
Originally developed over ten years ago, the protein power diet is the brainchild of Michael and Mary Eades. However, in the past couple of years, this approach has come very much into fashion.
What has changed in the last few years is that the protein power diet has been supported by increasing evidence that reducing consumption of carbohydrates and eating more protein is an effective way to lose weight.
The protein power diet works on the principle that eating too much carbohydrate leads to a sudden increase in blood sugar levels. The body responds to rapid rises in blood sugar by increasing insulin levels.
The problem with this is that high insulin levels are associated with a range of diseases including obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.
Avoiding these issues is simple - you eat less carbohydrates, and increase the amount of protein you eat.
The books detail the science behind the plan, and also provide all the information you need to change to this way of eating - from recipes to meal plans, exercise programs to lists of permitted snack foods.
This seems to be a plan whose time has come - why don't you check it out?
