One good diet tip if you are following the No Carbs After 5PM program is to find satisfying protein options for snacks in case you get hungry in the evening hours.

Since you are not allowed to have carbohydrates, if you don't have a back-up plan ready to go, you might be tempted to cheat on the program and just give in and have those cookies, chips or whatever it is you are craving. By using this diet tip you can help avoid that occurrence.

Taking this diet tip further, remember that often times people will confuse feelings of hunger for being thirsty so before you eat anything after 5PM, try having a beverage first. Decaf teas or coffee would work really well as the hot liquid can really help to promote feelings of fullness for most people.

If after that you still hear your stomach growling, then consider snacking on some egg whites flavoured with sugar free syrup. These syrups come in a variety of different flavours and can really help to kill temptations. Since the egg whites are strictly protein, you'll be sticking with the plan and hopefully putting the feelings of hunger to rest.

The plan also does not state you cannot have fat in the evening either so that will make for more food selections. Be aware however that fat dense foods add calories quickly so you'll have to really monitor portion sizes to make sure you don't over do it.
