When looking for a diet recipe while following the Slimming World plan you will have the flexibility to search for a variety of dishes since you will not always be needing to restricting yourself too much.

On your Green days you can look for a pasta-based diet recipe provided it is relatively low in fat. For example, linguini tossed with marinara sauce and a grilled chicken breast would make for an ideal evening meal on this plan.

On your Original or Red days though, you will want to focus more on protein and vegetables to create the diet recipe while staying away from pasta, rice, potatoes and bread. On these days go for a vegetable stir-fry with some shrimp tossed in or a chicken Caesar Salad that's light on the dressing.

Remember that you can have small amounts of healthy fats mixed in, coming from olive oil, salad dressings or nuts, however be sure to limit the quantity, particularly on Green days when your calorie intake is already higher. At the end of the day whether or not you lose weight is going to be highly dependant on your total calorie intake regardless of where the calories come from.

When looking for a dessert to have on this plan, remember that fruit is highly encouraged on both days so making something that incorporates fruit in is a smart idea. Some sugar free Jell-O with mandarin orange pieces mixed in and topped with low fat whip cream for example would fit well on both days since it is lower in carbs as well.
