Regular red wine does not need to be a guilty pleasure (if consumed in moderation) as it contains valuable antioxidants that are not present in the white variety, therefore red wine can legitimately feature as part of a healthy lifestyle diet. Because the skins are removed from white grapes, white varieties of the drink contains fewer antioxidants though there are less calories in red wine.
